Capture The Moment

I have been wanting to pursue my interest in photography for quite some time so Britt and Tom (sis in law/bro in law) told me I could practice with them. I went and picked them up on Saturday after I got off work and we headed to the train station in Ogden. I will admit, I was a little nervous. I think I will feel a lot more confident when I know more about the details of photography and have an advanced camera. Britt and Tom were a lot of fun to photograph. They made it very simple to just point and click. Check out some of the cute shots we got! Thank you for letting me be part of your treasured moments. :-) Smile....Click....Capture

So Much To Do...So Little time

Landon and I both had Monday off so we made a huge list of random things we needed to get done. We even put it all on a time schedule so that we would stay on track to get everything done. We got up early so we could make it to our chiropractor appointment at 9 and it was go, go, go all day after that. We actuallly almost made it through the whole list. We ran out of energy at about 6 and decided to stop and head to the K Town golf course to hit a bucket of balls. Landon really enjoys golfing so I have decided that I want to learn how to play so we can go together. He was a great teacher. He was very patient with me. I don't think I did too bad. Landon said, "You'll probably end up being better than me and entering in the PGA Tour next year." LOL So watch out Tiger Woods! ;-)

All Alone :-(

Landon and his dad went to the sandunes today and won't be back until Friday night. So if any wants to play tomorrow night I am free. :-) I had today off so I decided that I would spend the day doing absolutely nothing. I did just that. I sat here and watched chick flicks all day and did a little laundry. It was really nice to just relax, but now I am super bored and ready for my hubby to come home. :-( I hate being home without him, but even worse I hate sleeping without him next to me. I have to work tomorrow until 7:30 so that will keep me busy for the majority of the day. I am glad he is out having fun with his dad, but I will be glad to have him home.

In The Lord's Hands

We are sending another one of to help in the Lord's work. My cousin Aaron is heading to Chili on his mission on Wednesday. We are all very sad to say good-bye, but also very proud of him. He will be a great missionary. He has such a big heart and a great testimony. Chili is very lucky to have him going there to teach their investigators. Good luck Elder Wright! We love you and will miss you! :-)

Smellie Family Reunion

I am sure that everyone is thinking that the name is pronounced like "smelly", but it's not. It's actually "smay-lee". Every year Landon's mom's side of the family has a big family reunion. Each year a different sibling's family plans the reunion. This year was Landon's mom's turn, which includes all of us. We all through around some ideas until we came to the conclusion that we were going to Cherry Hill then to a park to bbq shishkabobbs and play water games. Brittney was the one who really put it all together. It turned out great! Landon and I didn't get to go to Cherry Hills because we had to work, but we joined in the for evening events. We played a "get to know your family" game that was a lot of fun. We split everyone up into two teams, red and yellow. Then we played tug-a-war, water pass, water balloon toss, and balloon shave. We ate lots of good food and had a blast.

The Stages of Breaking Dawn Continues....

Stage Two:

Britt and I didn't want to show up to the Barnes and Noble party in just a random shirt and pants. So, we made this fancy shirts to show our dedication.

Stage 3:

You should have been there to enjoy the maddness of about 3,000 woman all crowded outside the Barnes and Noble waiting to get their copy of Breaking Dawn. Think of all these woman and now think of all these woman crowded together in about 80 degrees. I thought there was a good chance there was going to be some fatalities, but everyone survived. :-)

Stage 4:

5 minutes left until we hold Breaking Dawn in our possession!!!!

Stage 5:

My friend Heidi came over to my house after we got the books so that we could all enjoy the first few chapter of Breaking Dawn together. I will have to get the cute picture from Brittney of all of us sitting on my bed with our books, getting ready to read. :-) So exciting!

Stage 6: 5:00 a.m.

Yes, we really did stay up until 5 in the morning reading as much as our bodies would allow us to. Even being asleep we couldn't let it go. lol

Brittney and I read the rest of the book together. We finished the book last night at about midnight. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it. So, if you have leave me a comment and post me your favorite part. Then I will know you have read it too and then I can leave you a message. :-)
