catch up continued.....STILL

This is a mix of the Smellie family (Landon's mom's parents) Xmas party and Landon's mom's for us kids. The Smellie party is always something to look forward to. We have a family that we give to each year. We get the kids presents, bring food, and put together a money tree for the family. Then we take it all to their house, put it on their door step, ring the door bell and run! That one event jumps starts our Christmas spirit. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Smellie for putting that together for all of us every year.

For Debbie's night we have gone to look at lights in the past, but it was super chilly and snowy on the night we usually do it. So, we decided to stay in instead. Debbie made all our favorite soup, taco soup. She provides candy, hot cocoa and a warm home for us to all gather and party hardy. She had a little game prepared for us when we all first got there. She always puts so much effort into fun things like that for us. We all opened our presents to each other. Since our family is only getting bigger we draw names each year. This year we had Heather and Steve, Heather and Steve had Britt and Tom, and Britt and Tom had us. Britt and Tom know exactly what we like! Check out the sweet new ice trays!!! They had given us some of their extra's they had gotten when they first got married, but they were a little.....weak around the edges. lol So they got us some that are much stronger. They got us some really pretty wine glasses. We plan on enjoying some very delicious sparkling cider with them. ;-) They even know our favorite candy! I guess that could be because whenever we hang out we all end up getting the except same stuff every time. lol We have this tradition that we all write on a piece of paper a gift we want to give to Heavenly Father that year. We keep the old ones in this box and just continue to add to it each year. I love that our family's have fun traditions like these. Our family is big and complicated at times, but we are so blessed to have each and every one of them in our lives. We love you all!
